Just time for Three Challenges

Morning crafters and bloggers my am i stood on my head this week far to much to do for my liking har har anyway i have managed three challenges whoohoo the first up is Less is more the challenge a one layer card with the sentiment as the main focal point boy was this hard and after several attempts this is my card !!!!

and this is the link http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/2011/04/week-10-one-layer-challenge-sentiment.
hope you like it as i am not sure i have used distress inks spiced marmalade and worn lipstick brushed on around the masked oval the same in the oval only put on with cut and dry for a darker effect then sprayed with water the sentiment and rose came from a collage set from Butterfly Kisses i then added three small gems.
Second up is a monochromatic card for the CES challenge this is there link http://ceschallenges.blogspot.com/2011/04/challenge-31-monochromatic.html
I have used a cream 6" square card base and diagonally folded back the front panel added chocolate brown and parchment layers made the topper using Su stamp set love you much and decorated the back panel with the three hears and added gold glitter glue to highlight i also made two others using the same design and stamps one in pink and one a blue floral will post pictures of those after my holls i just love this card hope you do too

Last but not least my favorite card for the day its for a sketch challenge at Heartsongs inspiration blog and whoohoo i won last week my first win so i have used the image that i chose from there didgi stamp shop its called Anna and flower its soooo cute and there is lots more i would like pop over and take a look there is even a freebie !!!! this is there link http://heartsonginspirations.blogspot.com/2011/04/inspiration-sketch-5.html
and sketch

anyway onto the card i have used a standard A5 blank printed off my didgi stamp and colour washed the background and water coloured the image matted it onto fuchsia pink added a ribbon and then onto green mirri board then added the whole thing on sticky pads to the card punched a scalloped circle using a Su punch stamped the sentiment again Su from the just believe set and finally added brads to the centre of the flowers and mounted onto the card with glue gell and this is the card

hope you like it as much as me and many thanks to Leah at Hearstsong for the beautiful image!!!!
and that's it folks no more time left i will try and support you all with comments while we are away hopefully the new Wifi Internet connection will work !!! take care and thanks for reading and leaving such wonderful comments happy crafting will miss mine Luv Sue x

  1. Your one layer card is a great idea, I think I may well have chosen a slightly smaller card blank for this size of sentiment, then you may not have needed all the inking and the gems. It's an interesting thought... I don't know if you agree, if you do try it, let us see!

  2. Nice effect, lovely shade of orange
If I may say th sentiment is a little lost, maybe you could have masked that centre instead for a more striking effect
Only thinking out loud, no offence
    Thanks sue

  11. Ooh what a lot of lovely cards Sue! I have a thing about birds carrying things about in their beaks, so that card is my favourite but they're all gorgeous in different ways. Hope you're having a fabulous holiday - you're certainly having great weather!
