Less is more shades of blue 2 cards

Hi there fellow crafters and friends hope you are all doing well and copeing with the very hot weather we have been having !! mind you things are back to normal here in Derbyshire with lots of rain and a drop in tempreture to make you shiver har har anyway today i am a little bit earlier than the last few weeks to show you my cards 2 of them!!!!! for the less is more challenge theme shades of blue this is there link http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/2011/07/week-22-colour.htmlmy first entry is using a blank 5" square card then i have stamped out 4 different backgrounds using 4 different colours of blue ink matted them onto a darker blue card then onto the card blank i have then punched a SU scalloped oval out of another blue card then a white plain SU oval and matted onto the other then stamped the sentiment from the SU set Oval all then used a quickie glue pen and highlighted with glamour dust hope you like it

The second card for the same challenge is a Christmas card woo hoo only a couple of hundred left to do i have used a blank white DL card and stamped the image onto white card using SU Marina mist ink i have then watercoloured with Brilliance pearlescent sky blue using various strenghts to get the shades then out with the quickie glue pen again to highlight the hills with snow and the snowflakes then matted and layered onto nearly navy and a pale blue card before adding to the card blank think i might use this design for all my cards that have to be posted and try it out in different colours let me know what you think the image is a Duo Designs

A couple of days ago i had a trogan get into my laptop with devistating results i have lost all my documents and photos and it seems to have wiped out my hard drive even the back up all this happened after downloading an update i have managed to get it up and running again but it sadly needs to go to be looked at properly so i am back on the old main computer which is very slow also we have the holidays coming up very fast not sure if i will get the laptop back in time to take with us but will keep you informed so sorry if i dont get round to youre blog its not intentional
lastly it was Dabblers craft group last Friday and with the Help of Tracey we all made owls from the SU pillow box die and SU punches oval 2 sizes of heart and 3different circle sizes Tracey very patiently is making them as favours for the children at her wedding they are realy cute and easier to make than you think hope you like him

and thats all from me today hope you have enjoyed your visit to see what i have been up to but now the ironing pile is shouting at me to get it done yuck but at least its cooler so take care all and happy crafting till next time Luv Sue x

  1. Hi Sue - yes the weather has turned much cooler here too which is just as well because I kept wanting to behave as if I was on holiday! I like both your cards but I really love that gorgeous glittery Christmas card. It would be a great one to post too. The owl looks very cute - Tracey must have the patience of a saint! Good luck with that ironing! Vx
