Back to earth with a bang !!!!

Morning fellow crafters and friends well what a week its been non stop we returned on Sunday afternoon via Slimbridge in Gloucestershire where we had a 3 night stay which was very enjoyable with lots of walking along the side of the canal and a visit to Stroud and a mystery trip round some pretty Cotswold villages more pictures on Facebook as i have had a new phone and cant work out how to get my pictures off and onto the laptop derr !!! On Saturday we went up to the village and a lady who lived there was selling plums and damsons very cheap so silly me bought all she had !!! so come Monday morning poor Dave was up at 4.30 to get ready and get to work to start his shift at 6am what a shock har har also the start of my day feeding the washer with the tons of washing we bought back and jammin oh jammin 20 jars made in such tremendous heat !!! (picture of the first lot made) sweat i thought by now i would have been 2 stone lighter har har no chance by far too much ice cream !!!! and gardening everything had grown and needed attention and all i wanted to do was get cool !!! then we had yesterday wow what a wonderful day rain chilly and breezy wonderful oh no i can here you all shout strange lady so sorry to all you heat worshipers i have had enough and took advantage of it and completed a full house clean and stood and ironed 2 weeks of ironing and the bit i left before we went away whoo hoo fantastic and also at last a great nights sleep without waking up every hour wet through even the dogs had a good lie in har har but Mya wouldn't go out in the rain just sat shivering looking at it she is a heat lover as you will see in the photo ahhhhhhhh so on to today Friday all ready the sun is out but no fierce heat fantastic and i am having a day off yippi no jobs at all just do my blog and this evening go to Dabblers and catch up with friends wonderful just wonderful anyway i have one more thing to tell you about while away i had an email from Jenny at crafting in the country to say i had won a prize what a wonderful surprise and i was really thrilled and excited it was a Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes set of clear stamps just right for my Christmas cards sets this year so a big thank you to Jenny please pop over to her blog and take a look she does some really different and inspiring work a very clever lady this is the link http://craftinginthecountry.blogspot.com/

  3. Hi Sue - well we have also just got back from out caravan holiday we were in the New Forest with our grandchildren...but you weren't far away from us down in Weymouth!
    Lovely pictures and your jam looks so yummy....you are making me hungry....

  10. I always love seeing your photos Sue - it looks beautiful there. I'm with you on the washing - I feel as if I've been washing for days and am a bit tempted to put the rest in the bin! (Not really!) I'm envious of the jam - it might've been an effort in the heat but you'll be laughing in the winter. Congratulations on your win and have a lovely weekend. Vx
